Itinerary
This is what you’ll find in your experience
The journey begins on Day 1, departing from Santa Marta at 7:30 a.m. in a 4x4 vehicle toward the Ecosierra office in La Aguacatera, and then continuing to El Mamey, with an estimated arrival around noon. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a traditional lunch before embarking on a four-hour hike through jungle trails to reach Camp 1, where dinner will be served and you will spend the night in hammocks or beds, depending on availability.
On Day 2, the adventure starts early at 6:00 a.m. from Camp 1, with a two-and-a-half-hour trek to the indigenous village of Mutanyi. After an additional hour of walking, you will arrive at Camp 2 for lunch. In the afternoon, a four-hour trek takes you to Camp Paraíso (Camp 3), where dinner will be served and overnight accommodations will again be in hammocks or beds, as available.
Day 3 is the heart of the experience: at 6:30 a.m., you will leave Camp 3 and walk approximately one hour to the entrance of Ciudad Perdida. There, a four-hour guided tour explores the archaeological, historical, and ethnological richness of the ancient Tayrona territory. After returning to Camp 3 for lunch, you will hike four hours back to Camp 2, where dinner will be served and the group will rest for the final day.
Finally, on Day 4, the journey begins at 6:30 a.m. with a seven- to eight-hour hike back to El Mamey. After a traditional lunch in the village, you will board the 4x4 vehicle for the return trip to Santa Marta, concluding this unforgettable experience filled with nature, culture, and adventure..
