- It's the easiest and quickest way to get to Taganga from Santa Marta, ideal if you're looking for comfort or traveling with luggage.
- By bus:
- There's a bus route that goes directly to Taganga, easily recognizable by the blue buses with the "Kra 11 Taganga" sign.
- To catch this bus, head to carrera quinta in the Historic Center.
- Once in Taganga, you have the option to continue to Playa Grande either by walking over the hill or taking a boat.

- To get to Playa Grande from downtown Santa Marta in your private vehicle, follow these steps:
- From downtown Santa Marta:
- Start at carrera séptima with calle 22.
- Continue along the road until you reach the city's railroad avenue or public market.
- Towards Taganga:
- From the railroad avenue, follow the Troncal del Caribe.
- Get to the CAI of the San Jorge neighborhood, which will serve as a reference point to identify carrera 11 leading directly to Taganga.
- In Taganga:
- Head to the end of Taganga beach, where you'll find boats offering services to Playa Grande.
- Walking option: If you prefer to walk, you can skirt around the hill from this point. It's a walk that will take you directly to Playa Grande, always remembering that it's safer to do so in groups and during the morning hours for safety reasons.
