If you want to experience diving for a day, the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course is perfect for you. It's a one-day diving session that includes two dives at different sites in Tayrona National Park.
The first dive is from a calm, shallow area, and the second is from a typical dive site so you can experience what it's like to be a diver for a day.
*Remember that you must rest for at least 18 hours after your last dive before taking a flight.*

This is what you’ll find in your experience
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Oceano Scuba Diving in Taganga. After check-in, you’ll join a short theory session where your instructor will explain how the gear works, basic hand signals, and underwater safety rules. Next, you’ll head to the swimming pool session, a safe and calm environment to practice breathing underwater and learn essential diving skills before entering the sea.
Once you’re ready, you’ll board a catamaran or speedboat toward the dive sites located in the crystal-clear waters of the Tayrona National Natural Park or nearby coastal areas. There, you’ll enjoy two open water dives of about 30–40 minutes each, discovering coral reefs and tropical marine life, always closely supervised by your PADI instructor.
Between dives, you’ll relax on board and enjoy a light snack with a drink, before heading back to the dive center. Upon return, you can shower, store your gear, and unwind with free Wi-Fi, coffee, or tea. Finally, you’ll receive your official PADI online registration and personal logbook entry, marking your first diving experience. The total duration of the activity is approximately 4–5 hours, making it an ideal half-day adventure in the Caribbean.
