Itinerary

This is what you’ll find in your experience

7:45 am We will meet at the train station to begin our City Tour. From here, we will immerse ourselves in the charming streets of Macondo, where every corner preserves the essence of the town where Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez grew up and wrote. Here, we will also be delighted with a cultural display by a young blind woman who, with her guitar, plays songs alluding to Aracataca and Macondo.
8:10 am We will begin the tour towards the "Remedios la Bella" monument, where you will have 10 minutes to take photos and learn the history of this enigmatic 100-year-old Soledad character.
8:30 am We will head to Camellón 20 de Julio, where we will provide information about its relevance. Afterwards, we will continue to the María Montessori School, where Gabo learned to read.
9:10 am We will begin the tour towards the Gabriel García Márquez House Museum. We will learn about the Nobel Prize winner's history, his stories in Aracataca and we will capture the moment with photographs (without video recording). Outside the house, you will have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and enjoy a monologue by José Arcadio Buendía from the play "One Hundred Years of Solitude."
10:10 am Then we will be able to enjoy a delicious coffee and a chat led by our hostess, where we will delve a little deeper into the history and magic that this place can offer us.
11:00 am We will head to Plaza Simón Bolívar to take photos with Gabo's sculpture and visit the San José Church, where he was baptized.
11:30 am We will visit the Casa del Telegrafista, a museum with important literary pieces.
At 12:00 pm we will head to a restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch and end the tour.

No refunds will be made if the experience cannot be carried out due to weather conditions. We offer the alternative of being able to reschedule the trip.
A No Show is considered when, after contracting a service, participants do not attend to acquire it.
If the TRAVELER requests the cancellation of a previously contracted service less than TWENTY-FOUR (24) hours before the service is to be provided, a penalty between 30% and 100% of the value of the service will be charged.
