We will begin our adventure at the iconic "I Love Santa Marta" sign. Here we will be greeted by our guide, who will welcome us and share valuable recommendations to make the most of every moment of this tour. Then, we will go to taste a fresh juice, prepared with tropical fruits that grow in the Caribbean region and around Santa Marta. This will be a refreshing start to our tour.
Our tour will continue in Simon Bolivar Park. As we explore its trails, we will come to a fruit stand, where we can enjoy a glass of fresh fruit. Here, our guide will tell us the fascinating history of this place, which has been a beloved meeting point for locals for over 25 years.
Next, we will delight in some traditional flavours. We will try the famous onion dogs, a local delicacy that is pure tradition. Afterwards, we will venture to taste a crispy fried food in another of the city's emblematic places, which has been offering its specialty for more than 80 years, followed by a traditional Samario dessert that will make us smile with satisfaction.
Following tradition, we will enjoy a buñuelo, a delicacy that celebrates the festivities with its unique flavour. Afterwards, we will be tempted by some charcoal-grilled arepas, filled with melted cheese, which will make us feel right at home.
To beat the Caribbean heat, there's nothing better than some fresh raspados, perfect for cooling off. And to top it off, we'll treat ourselves to an irresistible salchipapa, a perfect mix of chips and sausages that will fill us with joy and energy.
